Dutch Trade Mission will visit Kuwait in October 2009

Dutch Trade Mission for the Transport, Logistics and Infrastructure Sector

26 –28 October 2009

The State of Kuwait has an ambitious vision for becoming the centre of trade and logistics in the Gulf region. The Kuwaiti government has set a long-term commitment to improve its  logistics, transport and infrastructure facilities as well as introducing state of the art urban development projects such as Silk City and Boubyan Island. Over the coming 10 years the Kuwaiti government is planning to invest €30 billion in transport and infrastructure projects. These developments have transformed Kuwait into a thriving market that attracts companies of global reputation to be involved in the achievement of these and other infrastructure projects.

In light of this, the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) will proudly organise a trade mission to Kuwait between 26 and 28 October 2009.

This trade visit focuses on the transport, logistics and infrastructure sector and will introduce a selection of leading Dutch companies offering innovative, sustainable and high-performance solutions, equipment and products. The mission will be organised in cooperation with the EVD (Dutch Agency for International Business and Cooperation), ONRI (Dutch Industry Association of Consulting and Engineering firms) and TLN (Dutch Association for Transport and Logistics). This trade trip is intended to strengthen business ties between Kuwaiti and Dutch firms and to inform Dutch companies about future development projects in Kuwait.

Delegation members enjoy a long experience working internationally and are keen to establish joint cooperation with Kuwaiti counterparts. This 3-day mission will enable Kuwaiti firms and participating companies to explore areas of interest and forge business partnerships. A number of seminars, round table meetings and network events as well as site visits will be held during the mission to take a close look at the major development projects, including expansion schemes for Kuwait International Airport, Shuwaikh and Shuaiba sea ports. Collective business meetings will be organised with local authorities, i.e. the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce, Kuwait Port Authority, Ministry of Public Works and Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority. Mission programme will also feature one-on-one business talks between Dutch and Kuwait companies, which will serve as a platform to exchange experiences and explore possibilities of collaboration.

You will find more information on the mission and on the participating companies Adobe Acrobat PDF here (pdf-file).

This event offers you the opportunity to meet collectively and / or individually with participating companies to take a close look at their latest innovations and product offerings for your infrastructure, logistics and transport projects.
